How to extend a match challenge
- Your team match schedule will be listed here in the main menu under “Teams” & “Playing Schedule”.
- We will be using the “Tennis Rungs” mobile app to issue challenges, and report scores. Teams will continue to choose when and where to play their scheduled matches.
- Teams will be responsible for issuing match challenges no later than Sunday for the week the match is to be played, to the team listed on their schedule.
- Teams challenged MUST accept the match within TWO DAYS from the date it was issued.
- Teams will have 7 days (one-week) to complete their scheduled matches.
- Match winners will be responsible for entering match results through the mobile app.
- Team standings will be based on a win/loss ratio per division. You will be able to view standings through social media, mobile app, or website.
- Matches not played on the scheduled week, will become null and void.
Match Format
- A match will consist of the total score of 10 games. (11-9, 11,9, 9-11, 11-6, 7-11, 8-11, 11-7, 9-11, 9-11, 11-8) Total score 106 points vs 94 points. Team with 106 points wins.
- Games will be played to 11 points, winning by two points using regular scoring.
Match Tiebreaker
- If at the end of 10 games the score is tied (100/100) a tiebreaker game will be played. First team to reach 11 points will be declared the match winner.
- The league will be providing all teams with a small dry erasable boards to help them keep track of scoring, and allow team players to know how their team is doing.
Match schedules are designed around the flexibility of a team, based on when they can play (am, pm or both). The more flexible a team can be, the more variety of teams they will be able to play. We will do our best to match teams of the same skill level. At times this might be difficult since teams availability varies.
